Things are beyond absurd...
Darren really is just a guy. I love him to bits! I love all of his bits! [img]wink.gif[/img] I've been affected by his words and music just as much as anybody else. I've had my moments when Darren's music has saved me from myself too but I take responsibility for my own life and my own happiness and don't expect it to come from a quick encounter with someone who will likely forget me as soon as he blinks.
I think people should try to minimise their expectations and let whatever may happen happen. I know there will be a whole lot of let down shortly after these meet and greets.
What goes up must come down. It's the law of gravity I'm afraid.

I think the bad feeling was more to do with people taking umbrage (did I spell that right?) at the way a certain post was worded....cos actually, the idea behind it was much the same as the argument against it! If you see what I mean? *being cryptic tonight*
As usual I could see both sides, so decided not to get involved. Learned my lesson over the "fanclub members area" issue, lol!

Her choice of words was, shall we say, inappropriate [img]wink.gif[/img] It really got my back up cos she's never really 'met' him in the proper sense of a 'meet'n'greet' type of situation so who is she to be giving out 'words of wisdom' (*bleurghhhhh* [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) to anyone? People that are that full of themselves really bug me and there are plenty of those suckers over on the DHBBS!!! [img]wink.gif[/img] lol

The thing is that her post came over as rather patronising like she is some sort of superior fan talking down to the rest of the board [img]frown.gif[/img] It's no wonder people's backs were put up when there was already a large degree of disappointment going on for those who didn't win. Nobody (certainly here) begrudges the winners their chance of meeting him - I know I certainly don't and I am genuinely pleased for them. The trouble starts when others start making disaparaging remarks about how he never comes to their country or why they never meet him blah, blah, blah etc and a post like hers just set the whole place ablaze like an inferno!
